Work across the region

The work that keeps Greater Minnesota going

Events bring together employers, trainers and people looking for their next step in the fields that matter most in rural Minnesota.

Agriculture and food

Farms, food processing, ag equipment and the technology that runs them.

Skilled trades and manufacturing

Construction, welding, machining, maintenance and production.

Health and community care

Clinics, hospitals, home care, child care and senior care.

Technology and digital skills

Everyday digital skills, IT support and remote work.

Clean energy and the land

Wind, solar, water and conservation work.

Small business and Main Street

Local shops, services, tourism and hospitality.

Events are held in towns across the region, and some are online, so you can take part without a long drive.

How it works

From finding an event to your next step

  1. Step 1: Find an event

Search by region, date, or whether it is in person or online. Each event page lists who is coming, the schedule, and how to get there.

  2. Step 2: Register and ask for what you need

Registration takes a few minutes. Ask for an interpreter, captioning, accessible seating, help with transportation or anything else you need to take part.

  3. Step 3: Meet employers and trainers

Visit booths, scan a booth’s QR code to see open jobs and save contacts, and talk with the people doing the hiring.

  4. Step 4: Keep going

After the event, find slides and resources on the event page, tell us how it went, and share your story if something good came of it.

Built so everyone can take part

Access is part of every event

Rural distances, disability, language and schedules should not decide who gets to the job fair.

You can ask for an accommodation when you register or on any event page, and only the people arranging it see the details. Event pages give directions by car, on foot or by public transit, and many events offer an online option. Employers and vendors check their booth pages for accessibility before the event.
